Social Media is proliferating, and is proliferating much wider & faster. Faster than may be several other things that we encounter in everyday life, and wider than our imagination, but then with this has come a unique problem of managing your social web presence. If you have just your Facebook or Twitter to manage, then it is certainly not a problem, but that is surely not the case. Today, a vast majority of the individuals and organizations have sort of a compulsion to be online, through a variety of platforms. Entities in general, have got a larger presence and it may become difficult for them to remember the various social sites, blogs, groups that they may be part of or for that matter announce it to the world.
Take for instance, I would need Facebook probably to socialise at a peer level; Twitter to write some of my views on personal interests that could be anything like technology, sales management, marketing, which I probably would not be able to do through my blog, purely due to lack of time. But then once in a while, I would also need to write in greater detail through my blog; and then due to professional reasons, I do also need to be active on my Xing and LinkedIn accounts and so on. So what do you do in a scenario like this? May be create a spreadsheet with all the information pertaining to the various platforms that you are present on, but then that would be purely for your self consumption and in a way you are able to overcome the problem of remembering, which all sites you have a presence. That certainly does not help your friends, acquaintances or your customers to find you online, pretty much easily.
XeeSM an intuitive social network management tool, seems to have come up as a significant solution to the problem of managing one’s web presence. It helps in mainly two ways. One, it helps you manage and remember all your social sites, blogs, networks, groups… in one place, and two, makes you more approachable, by helping your friends and customers to easily find you on all the places you are, like Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, MySpace, Youtube etc. I have been using this tool for a few weeks now and find it pretty interesting and manageable. With just a simple link, like http://xeesm.com/Arupdeb/ I am able to direct my acquaitances to my web properties, with much ease.
I am loving XeeSM very much and quite sure that the world certainly needs a tool like this, to manage their ever growing presence on the web.
